Similarly out of the 76 sectors reporting sales, 25 sectors registered excellent growth, 24 registered high growth and 23 sectors reported moderate growth.

Heavy and medium utility and commercial vehicles, and scooters were sectors that recorded low or negative growth.

According to the survey, the Indian manufacturing industry is showing a recovery on the export front as compared to the Q3 results.

The study indicates that 18 sectors have shown excellent growth in exports. These include sponge iron, abrasives, auto components, castings, fluid power, forgings, industrial valves, machine tools, sugar machinery and scooters.

Seven sectors witnessed high growth, while 15 recorded moderate growth, and 10 sectors registered a fall in exports.

Those in the high growth category include precision tubes, air and gas compressors, drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Cement, soda ash, steel, flat glass, tea, electrical fans and utility vehicles were sectors that reported negative growth in exports.
