Rohm and Haas Introduces New Series of Reactive Hot-Melt Adhesives

Rohm and Haas Company, a leading provider of adhesive solutions for demanding applications, has begun accepting orders for their new line of reactive hot-melt adhesives. Specifically designed for bonding unusual or difficult substrates, the new Mor-Melt™ line of adhesives is available worldwide.

This new line of moisture curing polyurethane reactive hot melt products allows for solid, secure bonds on fabrics, foams, wood, metals and plastics. “The new Mor-Melt line, including the R-5000, R-7000 and R-9000 series, provides our customers with versatile adhesives – able to excel even on the most challenging substrates,” states Tom Schwarz, worldwide market development manager, textile laminating.

“We’ve developed a very balanced adhesive line that bonds extremely well to a wide variety of substrates, even under very difficult application circumstances,” says Schwarz. The Mor-Melt line of adhesives has been proven highly effective on textile and upholstery laminations, panel laminations for premanufactured housing and recreational vehicles, and decorative laminations for furniture and automotive applications. “These products provide higher performance than traditional technologies, at similar applied cost for our customers,” concludes Schwarz. Mor-Melt adhesives can be applied using controlled spray, bead extrusion systems, roll coater, gravure roller, screen print roll and other application systems.
