Rexam to buy German glass container firm
|
Britain's Rexam Plc, the world's biggest maker of drinks cans, said on Monday it had reached an agreement with Interbrew to buy a German glass container maker for about 68 million pounds ($106 million).
The firm said the deal to buy Nienburger Glas GmbH, which is supported by a supply agreement with Interbrew, was subject to regulatory approval. Rexam will finance the acquisition through existing borrowing facilities.
