GTS Services Software Now Electronically Connects Glass Shops to LYNX Services and Preferred Distributors through Glaxis

GTS Services, the market leader in software solutions for auto glass shops, announced today that two of its software products now provide direct electronic connection to LYNX Services and electronic ordering with preferred distributors.

Using connectivity provided by Glaxis, the technology solutions unit of PPG Industries, shops are able to boost productivity and efficiency by automating much of the work-order process, according to Dirk Bunker, director of sales and marketing, GTS Services.

Shops that use GTS Breakaway and GlasPacLX software are able to receive LYNX Services insurance work assignments directly into their point-of-sale (POS) software and submit authorization requests electronically, eliminating telephone calls, faxes and data entry. The system also allows pre-auditing of EDI invoices, a process that can reduce EDI rejects by more than 60 percent.

The capability also provides glass shops with electronic parts availability and ordering of parts through preferred distributors. This can translate into fewer phone calls, streamlined processes, increased scheduling efficiency and improved ordering accuracy, Bunker said. The enhanced software can increase productivity and, because it is easy to use, can also reduce training costs.
