RoMan Reduces Electrical Energy Costs

RoMan Manufacturing recently presented an energy savings white paper at the 2008 Glass Manufacturing Industry Council’s (GMIC) Annual Glass Problems Conference. The white paper focused on eight case studies showing the electrical benefits of the water-cooled transformer systems.

These studies were conducted on three continents with varying primary voltages and frequencies. As electrical energy costs continue to rise, manufacturers are looking for ways to reduce processing costs. During the times of low cost energy, little or no influence was given to electrical losses in a system as it had minimal impact on the operating cost of manufacturing a product.

As the cost of electricity and distribution equipment has risen, the impact of the operating and capital costs has come to the forefront as an issue of competitiveness. In eight industrial studies, RoMan demonstrates significant annual savings as well as copper reduction, lower maintenance and space requirements.
