Rohm and Haas Company and ISP Technologies Inc., an affiliate of International Specialties Products (ISP), today announced a new approach to the personal care industry.
In July 1997, ISP and Rohm and Haas Company formed a strategic marketing alliance, in which ISP became the exclusive worldwide company to sell, market and distribute Rohm and Haass acrylate-based products for the personal care market. These products include thickeners, rheology modifiers, hair spray resins, and SPF boosters for sunscreens.
During the past five years, ISP and Rohm and Haas Company have worked closely together to develop and commercialize a platform of next generation, high-performing hair and skin care ingredients.
Beginning October 1, 2002, and under the terms of a new agreement, ISP will no longer sell, market and distribute Rohm and Haas Companys Aculyn®, Acudyne® and SunSpheres products on a global basis. Rohm and Haas Company will assume global responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution of these products. ISP will continue to exclusively sell, market and distribute the jointly developed Allianz LT-120 hair spray resin and the new Allianz OPT waterproofing agent on a global basis.
ISP and Rohm and Haas Company will work together to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. ISP and Rohm and Haas Company sales representatives will be contacting customers in the near future to answer their questions.
