Saint-Gobain strengthens hold on Japanese market

Saint-Gobain, the French materials and packaging group, is to set up a joint-venture in Japan with the Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) company.

The new entity, in which the French group will have a 60 per cent stake, is intended to offer the market a wider range of products and services. More generally, it should enable Saint-Gobain to continue its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
