Safti First now offers AIA CEU credits “on-demand” online

SAN FRANCISCO (June 30, 2008) – SAFTI FIRST, a leading manufacturer of fire rated glazing and framing, now offers architects and design professionals an opportunity to receive CEU credits online with “Designing with Fire Rated Glass.” This program is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through www.safti.com and is registered for one American Institute of Architects (AIA)
Learning Unit and one Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit.

“We often see project specifications where the type of fire rated glazing selected was inappropriate for the application,” says William O’Keeffe, President and CEO. “Because of that, we developed this program to help architects and design professionals specify the correct type of fire rated glazing based on current fire and safety code requirements. Having it available online makes it easy for architects to access the program anytime, anywhere, and the credits that are given at the end of the course can be counted towards fulfilling the annual AIA requirement.”

All active AIA members must successfully complete 18 Learning Unit (LU) hours each year, with at least 8 of the 18 LU hours relating to HSW. Visit www.safti.com to register for “Designing with Fire Rated Glass” and to view information on SAFTI FIRST’s comprehensive line of fire rated glazing and framing products. For questions or further inquiries, please call 888.653.3333.
