Rohm and Haas expands its electronic commerce platform to Mexico

Rohm and Haas, a global specialty materials company, today expanded its Latin American e-commerce solution to Mexico. This initiative, www.LatinRohmHaas.com, allows the company to provide real-time information about its products and services through the web, and provides customers with the ability to order product, track order status, and consult invoices and accounts payable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This service, which has been developed and hosted by Citibank/Banamex, is being offered to the company’s existing customers in Mexico. Rohm and Haas has offered this service in Brazil for several months, and is about to expand it more broadly throughout the Latin American region.

Guillermo Novo, Vice President and Director, Latin American Region, Rohm and Haas Company, stated “E-commerce solutions such as this one are an important part of our overall efforts to increase business for Rohm and Haas. It makes it easier for our customers to buy from us, and gives them access to information they want or need at their convenience,”

Rohm and Haas makes products used in architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives and sealants, electronic devices, as well as important ingredients in personal care and household products. Rohm and Haas has been committed to the Latin American region since 1913, and has had operations in Mexico since 1960. Rohm and Haas today has a strong presence in the region, including offices, manufacturing and research facilities, and so on – all aimed at improving the quality of its customers’ products – consumer goods used by people everywhere
