Emirates Glass supplied cladding for Tehran tower

Emirates Glass, a processor of architectural flat glass and a subsidiary of Glass LLC, which is wholly owned by Dubai Investments (DI), said it supplied premium glass products to the third tallest telecommunication tower in the world. It did not specify the value of the contract.

The company has wrapped the 435-metre-high Milad Telecom Tower in northern Tehran with 8,000 square metres of EmiLam laminated and triple laminated glass, the company said in a statement. The contract was completed several months before its due date, it said.

The Milad Telecom Tower contract comes in the wake of a series of orders the company has completed in various countries in the region.

The aluminium contractor on Milad was Germany's Etzel, while the main contractor for the project was Iran's Yadman Sazeh. "This contract allowed us to clad the third tallest telecommunication tower in the world and was a major milestone for us. Our products are already preferred by leading architects who have worked on various high-rise towers," said Ziad Yazbeck, General Manager, Emirates Glass , in a statement. The company's EmiLam laminated glass is a versatile, durable, safety glass product for any architectural developmen, that requires impact resistance as well as resistance to break-in, bullets and explosions.
