Intermac “One2one” event offers glass and stone professionals education, demonstrations, and camaraderie

Charlotte, NC, April 14, 2008 – In its ongoing effort to keep customers, partners and prospects on top of the latest high-tech solutions and industry trends, Intermac America, the leading manufacturer of glass and stone fabrication equipment, held its first One2One event of the year at its Charlotte, NC headquarters Friday, March 28. The free event, which had a special emphasis on education, drew representatives from 35 companies all over the U.S. and Canada. A variety of seminars offered manufacturing expertise, training, and product introductions. In an encore presentation from StonExpo, the polished granite slab resin process was discussed. Experts from Intermac and its partners provided insight on products and technologies geared to optimizing efficiency and precision, such as the LT- 55 job site laser, StonePower software suite, diamond tooling options, CNC machining centers and holding solutions for CNC. Attendees also benefited from insiders’ advice on solutions to water-related occupational hazards, and compliance with OSHA regulations (a presentation seen at Coverings). “Our partners are always crucial to the success of these events, and we’re grateful to everyone – Tenax, Blick, Water Treatment Technologies, Roger Shaw, AIM and SL Laser, Arizona School of Rock- for their active involvement,” commented Jacqueline Liger, North American Marketing Manager for Intermac and Biesse. “Of course, we like to think it’s a win-win for everyone,” she added.

Live machine demonstrations are always a highlight of the popular One2One events, as attendees have the opportunity to see how the machines work and learn about new manufacturing processes firsthand. In the spotlight at this event were Intermac’s Master 35/45 CNC and Genius cutting table. Intermac America, along with its counterpart to the north, Intermac Canada, launched only last year, following Biesse America’s acquisition of AGM Machinery Inc. in April 2007. In this short time, the company has ramped up significantly. An ever-expanding distribution network and sales force now spans North America, and innovative new products like the Master 33-43 Twin work center have met with industry-wide acclaim. April 10-11, Biesse America will hold a One2One event dedicated to the woodworking industry.
