On 13th March 2008, in the SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS Cologne Porz plant, the first production line for satinized glass was officially opened. Over 80 customers, suppliers and partners accepted the invitation and were provided with insights into the production of the design glass SGG SATINOVO MATE.

The chairman of the management of SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS Deutschland, Dr. Fabrice Didier, and the Works Manager in Porz, Thomas Schuster, welcomed the guests at this special event. The new further processing line is the first pilot plant worldwide on which SGG SATINOVO MATE is produced already stacked. The objective is, according to Thomas Schuster, with this addition to the product family at the Porz location, to further extend the service for customers.
