Green Building-Smart Film

As the wheel of time turns, ambient temperature is repeatedly breaking history record and greenhouse effect is getting worse. How to lower energy drain is an issue demanding immediate attention. At present, the acquisition of electric power around the world is mainly from thermal power. The carbon dioxide emitted from such method is one of the major causes resulting in such thorny problem. Therefore the application of“ Green Building”energy saving material is the most prevalent in current globe pop field.

With gradually prospering economy, varieties of new-fashioned buildings are constantly constructed around the world. “Glass wall” is largely applied on modern building façade due to its pleasing to the eye and practical utility. However, with the impact of global warming, how to lower inside temperature and power consumption of air conditioners of these modern buildings for energy saving is a thorny problem for these glass building materials.

Before applying “Green Building”energy saving material on “glass wall”, you have to find out the heat energy produced from light, which consists of
1. Visible light-44% (percentage of heat energy structure)
2. IR ray-53%
3. UV ray-3%

The heat energy structure is as the following diagram:

Lowering inside heat energy produced from light passing “glass wall” each one degree centigrade by moving down air conditioning, power consumption will increase 6%. Hence, if outdoor temperature is too high, indoor temperature is comparatively cool under the mist state of “Green Building-smart film” due to its good heat insulation. The related diagram is as follows.

Glass attached with smart film. Good heat  insulation effect

Smart film developed by Chiefway Optronics Co., Ltd can transform glass into transparent or opaque state through switch control. The thickness of smart film is only 0.7mm. It can be directly stuck on glass surface and is easy to install without dismantling existing decoration. It’s of wide range application.

Smart film is an intelligent high-grade functional film, which can adjust light under different voltage to switch between direct and scattered light, carrying out the dual requirements of transparency of glass and privacy protection. When off power, Smart film is in opaque state; on the contrary, it’s in transparent state. Even in opaque state, ambient light is still good and of heat insulation effect . With heat resistant characteristic, Smart film, which makes your room warm in winter and cool in summer, is an environmental, energy saving and mind-boggling product. Please browse Chiefway Optronics Co., Ltd website http://www.chiefway.com.tw for more practical application videos.
