Biesse’s Westward Expansion New Key Account Manager, Territory Sales Reps Driving Sales in the West

As part of an ongoing effort to bolster its national sales force, Biesse America, the leading manufacturer of woodworking machinery and systems, recently appointed Fabrizio La Volpicella to the role of Key Account Manager. He will lead sales efforts throughout the western territory, from Washington to Arizona, Montana to New Mexico, and all points between.

La Volpicella is well suited to the task, having been a part of Biesse’s sales organization since early 1994. As an Area Manager in Italy, he gained expertise in all aspects of automated panel processing. He was later assigned to Biesse Asia, where he managed sales and dealer relationships in China, Korea and Japan. In 1999, La Volpicella was instrumental to launching Biesse Iberica, a subsidiary focusing on Spain and Portugal.

Most recently, La Volpicella served as a Regional Sales Manager for Biesse Canada. He was responsible for maintaining existing relationships, developing new business, leading the Ontario sales team and overseeing dealer relationships in Ontario and Manitoba.

La Volpicella’s western U.S. sales team includes new Territory Sales Representatives Lonnie Campbell and Todd Gomez, both of whom represented Biesse through a major woodworking machinery dealer in California prior to joining the company last month.

Lonnie Campbell, who is covering central California from Sacramento to Bakersfield, has worked in the industry for eight years, and specialized in Biesse’s products for the past three. “The market trends are leaning toward automation,” Campbell observed. “I’m excited about working directly for Biesse, because this allows me to focus on automation, and I know in my heart that I’m providing the best products in the world.”

Todd Gomez, who is assigned to northern Nevada and the California Bay Area, has been in the woodworking industry for more than a decade. “Going to work for Biesse seems like a natural evolution for me, since over the last three years Biesse has become like home to me. My primary goal is to help my customers with solutions that make them more profitable, and working for Biesse allows me to do this.”

In addition to Biesse’s woodworking machinery, both Campbell and Gomez will represent the company’s Intermac line of glass and stone fabrication equipment. As Campbell expressed it, “A newer trend I see happening is the merging of woodworking and stone fabrication under the same roof, especially cabinetmakers who also fabricate stone countertops. This allows them to automate their facilities with the support of one manufacturer.” And clearly, more and more that manufacturer is Biesse.
