Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (the Company) hereby announces that, at the Board of Directors meeting held on February 12, 2008, it has resolved that the Company would purchase the Company’s stock in accordance with Article 156 of the Corporation Law applicable pursuant to Article 165, paragraph 3 of the said Law.
