Clear elegance - the new main building of the NRW.Bank in Düsseldorf
|
The new main building of the state development bank for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf is located in the lively setting of the Rhine promenade, the harbour, the state parliament building and the renatured Düssel. Glass and metal dominate the clearly structured building complex - in the interplay of form and materials the building develops its clear elegance. The architects from RKW Rhode Kellermann Wawrowsky chose to use glass from SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS.
Thanks to the glass from SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS, the soundproofing double façade, with floor-by-floor insulation and ventilation, reduces noise from outside to a minimum. The glass façade of the NRW.Bank consists of almost 10,000 m2 SGG CLIMAPLUS COOL-LITE SKN 165 SILENCE (special construction), a combination of solar and soundproofing glass. Almost 10,000 m² SGG CLIMAPLUS COOL-LITE SKN 165 SILENCE ensure that work can be done in a pleasant temperature and in peace and quiet.
