Intermac: North American Glass Product Manager Appointed

As part of its ongoing expansion, Intermac America,  the leader in glass and stone fabrication machinery, recently appointed sales veteran  Carey Brayer to the position of North American Glass Product Manager.  Mr. Brayer has 20 years experience in management, business development and sales,  with particular expertise in the glass industry. While managing the North American  subsidiary of a major glass machinery manufacturer, he was responsible for developing  and leading a sales force that achieved the highest machinery sales ever in the North  American glass market.

”We are confident that with his exceptional leadership skills and track record, Carey  Brayer will be a key asset in driving sustained and strategic growth for Intermac in the  glass segment of our business,” said Federico Broccoli, President and CEO of Intermac  America/Canada and Biesse America/Canada.  Mr. Brayer will lead sales efforts for Intermac’s complete line of glass machinery in the  U.S. and Canada. The line is highlighted by the Master Series, which offers CNC  solutions ranging from entry-level machines to the Master Twin, a state-of-the-art fouraxis  work center introduced to the North American market for the first time in October  2007.

Biesse America established Intermac America and Intermac Canada in April 2007, after  acquiring AGM, Inc., the leading North American distributor of Intermac brand glass and  stone equipment. The company has since implemented a variety of organizational and  policy changes aimed at screamlining processes and service quality across all divisions.

Strengthening its glass and stone business is integral to Biesse’s broader corporate  vision for growth in North America. Parent company Biesse S.p.A. is investing more than  $20 million in new construction for Biesse America and Intermac America, which recently  acquired 14 acres of land adjacent to its Charlotte, NC headquarters to accommodate  expansion. A new headquarters building is slated for completion at the end of 2009.
