Let’s hope that the team at Haffner GB Ltd have had a relaxing Christmas break, because it looks as if 2008 is going to be a busy year for the company.

The manufacturers of the SBA Cutting and Machining Centre will have a hectic start because they will be installing four new Centres in January.

The January installations are a continuation of the successes of 2007, when they comfortably exceeded sales targets by 50% each month. And if 2007 was a good year for the company it looks as if 2008 will be just as good, if not better. Their order book, for example, already stretches into April 2008.

Dave Thomas is clear about the reasons for their continuing success: “There’s no doubt the Cutting and Machining Centre is an excellent product that can revolutionise the fabrication process. What’s more, we can prove it too. We offer all prospective customers a free and impartial consultancy service, which includes advice on factory utilisation and machine efficiency, so they can see cost-savings the machine would offer their business in black and white. The quality of the machine plus the demonstrable cost savings remove the element of risk from the investment.”

The tangible business benefits the machine offers suggest it will be a success in 2008 and far beyond. But the company has another reason to be looking forward to 2008 – the launch of a new machine range called Vantage. The range will be unveiled at this year’s Glassex which is at the NEC in Birmingham from 8 to 10 April. And if the qualities and success of the SBA Cutting and Machining Centre are anything to go by, the Vantage display on the Haffner stand will be one not to miss!
