Pilkington: Silent Solution

 The new HQ of tyre manufacturer Yokohama Italia S.p.A has used Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ EverGreen with Pilkington Optilam™ Phon Therm SN for a simple - and silent - solution.
Sited in Carpenedolo, in northern Italy, the elegant three-story building lies close to the busy Brescia Est – Castiglione delle Stiviere ring road but the use of acoustic glass for the inner panes of the facade has cut noise levels to just 43 dB. Pilkington Eclipse Advantage on the outer layer offers maximum thermal comfort for the employees in both winter and summer.
In total, the facade includes 550 sq metres of IGU with Pilkington Eclipse Advantage 8 mm toughened and Pilkington Optilam, plus 400 sq metres of Pilkington Eclipse Advantage EverGreen 8 mm toughened monolithic for the spandrel walls.
