Stevanato Group is winner of the 500’s Europe Awards

 Stevanato Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass tube containers for the pharmaceutical industry, today announced that it has won the prestigious Europe’s 500 award (www.europes500.com). The company was honoured for this at the Europe's 500 Entrepreneurs for Growth Awards ceremony on November 24th in Prague. Europe's 500 founded 1996 is an European non-profit membership and networking organisation for growth entrepreneurs dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and growth in Europe

Entrepreneurs for Growth awards the 500 winners of the Europe’s 500 Listing 207 for their outstanding performance in creating 297.455 new jobs and achieving an annual turnover growth rate of 28 % in the last three years.
Stevanato Group is one of the 21 Italian companies that achieved the prestigious award, United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany dominate the Listing: the United Kingdom and Germany continue to be amongst the leading nations with 76 companies (15.2%) from the UK and 71 companies (14.2%) from Germany but they have been joined for the first time by 74 companies from Sweden (14.8%).

The Stevanato Group, founded in Italy in 1949, is today one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass tube containers for the pharmaceutical industry. Its status as an acknowledged world leader is unique, due to its internally developed technologies, fruit of a robust programme of autonomous research, development and implementation.
The company is made up of two divisions. The Glass Division specialises in glass tube primary packaging containers for the pharmaceutical industry (bottles, ampoules, vials and syringes, etc.), and comprises Nuova Ompi (Padua - Italy), Alfamatic (Latina - Italy), Medical Glass (Bratislava –Slovakia). The Engineering Division, on the other hand, designs and manufactures machinery and technological equipment for the production of glass tube containers, based in the Italian companies Spami (Padua) and Optrel (Vicenza).
The Stevanato Group employs 950 people and in 2007 had a turnover of 125 million euros (70% from outside Italy), trading with over 60 different countries and providing quality and innovation to 300 major clients through the 1,700 million glass containers it produces every year.
