China Architectural Engineering Awarded Contract to Install Spherical Facade Of Hangzhou International Conference Center

China Architectural Engineering, Inc. (CAE) (AMEX:RCH), which specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication and installation of high-end curtain wall systems, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to build the spherical external facade for the Hangzhou International Conference Center in Hangzhou, China. Terms of the contract were not disclosed for competitive reasons.
CAE will engineer, manufacture and install the sphere’s external facade, which will total approximately 262,150 square feet in area and consist of a unitized glass curtain wall system with titanium cladding. To emphasize the sphere’s uniqueness, it has been designed with gold as its theme color. It will be not only a conference center but also a five-star hotel complex.
