Rexam Extraordinary General Meeting 2007 - Proposed Acquisition Of OI Plastic Products FTS Inc.

 Rexam, the global consumer packaging group and the world's leading beverage can maker, advises that, further to the announcement on 11 June 2007 of the proposed acquisition of O-I Plastics, shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier today approved the resolution to acquire the entire issued share capital of O-I Plastics as set out in the circular to shareholders dated 11 June 2007. It is expected that the acquisition will complete early in the third quarter of 2007.
