Guardian Building Products Provides State-Of-The-Art Insulation For The International Builders’ Show’s Renewed American Home

Guardian Building Products announced today that it is the
exclusive fiberglass insulation vendor for the International Builders’ Show’s Renewed American  Home, located in the Lake Eola Heights Historic District in Orlando, Fla. Guardian’s ATS  and  UltraFitDS® systems are installed throughout the home, providing maximum energy efficiency and
sound control.

Both ATS and UltraFitDS are GREENGUARD Certified for Children and Schools – the leading  industry certification for measuring indoor air quality (IAQ). IAQ is a growing concern with today’s  tighter construction practices for homes and buildings, and Guardian’s insulation products are tested  and certified to meet the tough GREENGUARD IAQ standards. They significantly reduce the  existence of hazardous emissions and promote a healthy home environment.

“This year’s Renewed American Home demonstrates how homeowners can keep the historical  character of their homes while enjoying the benefits of modern technologies and innovations,” said  Gary Romes, vice president of Business Development for Guardian Building Products. “Increasingly,  homeowners are renovating their homes with ‘green’ products that will make a difference in air  quality, energy efficiency and sustainability. Guardian’s insulation products address these issues  while meeting some of the industry’s toughest green standards. At the same time, our insulation  systems conform to any wall cavity and obstruction typically found in a renovation.”

Guardian’s ATS (Air Tite System) is installed throughout the demo home and carriage house, and  combines Handi-Foam closed-cell polyurethane foam with Guardian fiberglass insulation. The halfinch  layer of spray foam is applied inside the wall cavity prior to installation of fiberglass insulation.  This combination results in an increased level of thermal performance and sound control and virtually eliminates air infiltration. A unique feature of ATS is that the system can be installed in vertical walls,  overhead ceilings, cathedral ceilings, joist ends between floors or any areas that are difficult to  insulate. ATS satisfies modern challenges in construction and allows architects and builders to  deliver a superior, GREENGUARD-certified system.
