Anchor Glass Switches CEOs

Mark Burgess is out as chief executive officer at Anchor Glass Container Corp. He had been chief executive officer since August 2005, when the company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the third time in nine years. Before leading the company through the bankruptcy procedures, Burgess spent three months with Anchor as executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

Jim Continenza, director and former chairman of Anchor's Compensation Committee, has replaced him. Continenza previously was chief executive officer of Telligent Inc. and most recently served on the board of directors for Rural Cellular Corp. Inc., Maxim Crane Works Inc. and USA Mobility Inc.
