For.El. at Glasstec 2006

Düsseldorf 1996-2006: 10 years have passed since the first Vertical Cutting Line for Stratified Glass Panes was exhibited to the world; at the time, it was welcomed with amazement and surprise and it was immediately noticed by the best glassworks, which immediately understood its ingeniousness.

Up to now, more than 40 lines in different shapes have been designed and they have been eventually updated thanks to the continuous improvement of technique and expertise.

Over the past four years we have seen many attempts to approach this kind of technology, but results have given even more prestige to a philosophy, a machine and consequently a company that has always considered technological innovation as an asset that can not be given up.

In particular, the most updated version of the Cutting Line for Stratified Glass Panes, VC series, represents a mile stone for the sector, mainly regarding the stretching quality of the PVB film, the precision in the orthogonality of the pane, the consequent high optimization and, last but not least, a level of automation enabling a single operator to completely manage on his/her own the production of 800-1000 m2 in an eight hour period.

The version exhibited in this trade fair owns a 6000 mm high cutting bridge, providing in such a way an optimization that could have not even been conceived up to some years ago. As usual, this is not going to be the single novelty exhibited by For.El. that, according to its personal tradition, never leaves the glass-making industry without innovations and new creations leading our working sector towards a more and more industrial phase rather than just a craft made phase.

In particular, the innovations of this year are concentrated in two areas: the technology of the “Warm Edge” spacer and the processing of the glass edge. As usual, these innovations will create a new mile stone for this sector.
