Saint-Gobain denies report of merger plan with Lafarge

Saint-Gobain has denied a report in French weekly magazine L'Express, which said the company has asked bankers to study a potential merger with its French peer Lafarge.
'In response to rumours in the press, the Saint-Gobain group states that it is not engaged in any discussions or activity aimed at any form of combination with the Lafarge Group,' the company said.
