Saint-Gobain Oberland AG - Final Results/Dividend

Finanztreff.de reported that the turnover of Saint-Gobain Oberland for the full year 2005 is 305.3 million euros, compared to 335.0 million euros for the previous year.

As announced in July 2005, Saint-Gobain Oberland sold its glass bricks activity to Seves on June 30, 2005. This activity accounted for 12 million euros in sales for the first 6 months 2005, compared to 24.4 million euros for the full year 2004.

In a very competitive market, the new law regarding deposit on one way bottles has generated some uncertainty.

During the fiscal year 2005, Saint-Gobain Oberland generated a profit of 30.5 million euros, compared to 22.1 million euros in 2004. This good performance is mostly due to the continued effort of improving productivity of the company, and the impact of the gain on the sale of the glass bricks business.

As a result, at the Annual General Meeting on 31 May 2006, the Supervisory Board and the Board of Management will propose a dividend of 30.50 Euro per individual share certificate (previous year's dividend: 22.20 Euro). The Annual General Meeting will be held in Bad Wurzach-Ziegelbach.

In 2006, Saint-Gobain Oberland will continue its efforts in Research and Development program and its efforts to control costs. The company will follow its investment program in order to offer the best quality and service to its customers.

Saint-Gobain Oberland AG is part of the Saint-Gobain Group which, with over 200,000 employees in over 50 countries, ranks among the top 100 industrial companies worldwide. In the five main divisions of Flat Glass, Packaging, Construction Products (Construction materials, Insulation, Gypse, Pipe), High-Performance Materials (Reinforcements, Ceramics, Plastics, Abrasives) and Building Distribution, the group registered provisional total sales of almost 35 bill. Euro in 2005.
