Dorma Group North America website receives prestigious Gold Mercury Award

 Dorma Group North Americas website, www.dorma.com-usa, has been recognized by MerComm, Inc. with a 2005 Gold Mercury Award in the Corporate US Website Category. Considered to be one of the largest competitions in the world, this years MERCURY 19th Annual contest had more than 940 entries in 20 categories from 15 countries. Mr. Reni Witt, the Mercury president and founder, said: Entries were judged by an impartial panel of distinguished judges made up of communications specialists from across the US, Canada, Europe and Hong Kong, whose professionalism ensured the competitions long standing tradition of impartiality and integrity.
Areas that are judged to determine the winner include: Design (Visual Appeal; Aesthetics), Navigation (Site Map: Ease of Use), Functionality (Information clearly presented), Content (Quality of writing: Power of message) and Overall Success (Degree to which the website effectively achieved its goal).
The Mercury Awards competition is sponsored by MerComm, the worlds only independent awards organization. Founded in 1987, its mission is to advance the standards of excellence in the various fields of corporate communications. The MerComm Awards programs are unique: they accept no advertising, membership dues, or outside sponsorships. The Mercury Awards is presented by the International Academy of Communications Arts and Sciences, a 500-member body of leading practitioners in the various fields of communications. Entrants may review judges evaluation, and are guaranteed fairness and impartiality. As such, the Mercury Awards are considered the most respected and prestigious by peers in the industry.
