Willy Swinkels has entered upon his function as President of the UEMV Board of Directors, starting from January 1st, 2006
|
 Mr. Swinkels (35) is the representative of The Netherlands within the Board and chairman of the glass and glazing section within the Dutch trade association Koninklijke FOSAG. Recently Mr. Swinkels required the full ownership of the family's company Swinkels Glascentrale in NL - Eindhoven.
Mr. Swinkels is in succession of Trevor Coles who has been in duty as UEMV President for the maximum term of office. Mr. Coles will continue to serve the Board of Directors as Vice-president.
UEMV is the umbrella organisation for the European flat glass branch. Members are national glass and glazing organisations from 11 European countries. 19.000 European companies are represented through their national organisations. The North American NGA is an associated member. The activities of the member companies cover all facts of architectural glass and glazing as well as a significant part of the automotive glazing after market.
