Guardian Industries receives inaugural Partnership Award from Hapag-Lloyd

Guardian Industries Corp. recently received the 2005 Partnership Award from Hapag-Lloyd Container Line. This new program recognizes companies that create value to all parties in the transport chain and demonstrate an understanding of what it means to be a partner with Hapag-Lloyd.

According to Hapag-Lloyd: “Our definition of a partner is a company that seeks out synergies to create additional value for both organizations. It is someone who tries to answer the question, ‘how can we work together to overcome obstacles?’ and uses these obstacles as opportunities for both parties.”

“It is a real pleasure for me to present this award to Guardian Industries,” said Hapag-Lloyd Region West President Rudiger Mack. “It’s not so easy to find a good partner, one that looks out for the best interests of both organizations and one that is true to its word We’ve certainly found that in Guardian.”

Mike Kusuplos, manager of global logistics, received the award on behalf of Guardian. “We both understand that what’s most important in the end is our customer,” said Kusuplos. “I look forward to continuing to expand this partnership to bigger and better things.”

Hapag-Lloyd Container Line is one of the leaders in the global door-to-door container transport sector, offering customers complex logistics packages along the transport chain, as well as a comprehensive range of services. More than 260 sales offices located in over 90 countries, ensure that customers' merchandise is routed fast and reliably to virtually anywhere in the world. They are supported by intelligent IT systems that help them operate efficiently and profitably in the marketplace.
