Leading Chinese glass market sets up JV in US
|
As 2005 draws to a close, some Chinese businesses are pursuing more overseas growth through cooperation. China Triumph Engineering, one of the country's leading and largest glass makers announced recently it has established a 50-50 joint venture with American Toledo Engineering in Ohio. The JV is expected to provide the Chinese company an extended operating platform to compete in US markets and other areas, avoiding complicated trade barriers. In recent years, the growing anti-dumping charges against China have posed a great challenge to Chinese enterprises. Setting up JVs overseas has also become a popular solution for the exporters just as many foreign businesses prosper in the Chinese market.
