Rare Tiffany Stained Glass Windows Discovered

She was like an angel in disguise. A rare Tiffany stained glass window is one of seven found inside a wooden case marked 1964. It was the year the windows were donated from a church that was slated for demolition, and then stored away from place to place until they ended up in an old barn near West Chester.
Reverend Susannah Currie found the stained glass windows. A leaking roof prompted Currie to remove some of her personal items from the rickety wooden structure. That's when she first discovered the wooden cases and learned that windows were made by Louis Tiffany in his New York studio in the 1890's and are now worth about a million dollars.
Miraculously all of the stained glass windows were in pretty good shape considering they sat around in damp conditions for about 10 years and then they were moved around by people who just didn't know their precious value.
Taking better care of the windows now is the owner of a restoration company where workers will spend months working on all of the life sized angels. The restored window captures the rare beauty of Tiffany.
And Reverend Currie knows the cost of restoration, about 67 thousand dollars, will be worth it once the windows can become a part of a traveling exhibit called in company with angels.
