Lema and the Chemical Tempering of Glass

LEMA Srl is the first Company in the world, manufacturer of ovens for application of glass chemical tempering process, starting in the 1972 manufacturing equipment for tempering optical and sunglasses lenses.

Successively same equipment have been used for tempering glasses for watches, lighting, videodiscs, photocopier, scanner, monitor, intraject capsule and many others glass articles for industrial, military and aeronautical field.
To meet the requests for tempering these small and middle-size glass articles, our bigger equipment, at that time, was able to temper glasses max size 700x500mm (LEMA TC3200 equipment sold in hundreds pieces)

At the present time, the size of equipment produced, includes ovens for chemical tempering of very big glasses up to reach 3200x2200mm. These equipment have been studied and are particularly used for tempering glasses for furnishing, safety glass, glass for motor, nautical and aeronautical sectors especially for curved glasses to be laminated, having very complex arrow curving.

These new equipment are the result of our thirty-year experience in the manufacturing of ovens for application of this process. Any other Company can boast so much experience in this field.
