Pilkington Down As Bid Speculation Subsides

Pilkington (PILK.LN) -8% at 144.25p. Traders blame growing pessimism over recent suggestions that Nippon Sheet Glass (5202.TO) may be looking at a bid for the company. "It's doesn't look as if Nippon are interested and that's why you're seeing a lot of people sell up today," says one trader. Nippon Sheet Glass not immediately available to comment.
