Saint Gobain brings 200 jobs to Sparta

Saint Gobain Desjonqueres will open a plant in Sparta and create approximately 200 jobs.

Saint Gobain Desjonqueres, a worldwide leader in the glass, insulation and building materials industries, will use the Sparta plant to decorate cosmetic and perfume bottles for clients such as Estee Lauder and Ralph Lauren. The company currently operates six plants in Georgia with more than 1,000 employees.

"This is great news for Sparta," said R.K. Sehgal, commissioner for the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism. "And we will continue to work aggressively to pursue new job opportunities for the people of Hancock County."
