Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, a leader in the processing of high-performance engineered polymers, reaches exclusive material distribution agreement.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Engineered Polymer Products group and GE Polymershapes have reached an exclusive material distribution agreement. GE Polymershapes, a division of the General Electric Company, will have exclusive distribution of Meldin® 7000 polyimide plastic materials in most of the U.S., and all of Canada, Mexico and Latin America.
GE Polymershapes has a strong distribution organization divided into eight regions in the U.S., consisting of 60 branches and five regional warehouses, plus a fabrication facility in Dayton, Ohio. GE Polymershapes is an industry leader in plastic shapes distribution with a strong sales and marketing organization.
Meldin retains its critical properties in continuous operation at temperatures from cryogenic to 600°F (315°C) and can serve intermittently to 900°F (48°C). It boasts high strength and good rigidity. It is also self-lubricating, providing long maintenance-free service in demanding bearing and structural applications.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) is a leader in the processing of high-performance engineered polymers used in many markets and applications throughout the world. SGPPL is a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, one of the top 100 industrial companies in the world.
