Missoula, Mont., has introduced a drop-off program for glass recycling through hauler BFI Montana, according to a report in the Missoula Independent (Missoula, Mont.).
According to the report, BFI will collect glass for Missoula-based Big Sky Rock Works, where it will be crushed and used as aggregate in concrete products.
The glass will be used as a substitute for gravel, Gary Linton, co-owner of Big Sky Rock Works tells the Independent. Instead of depleting our natural resources, were going to recycle it.
Residents of Missoula can also take their glass directly to Rock Works facility, according to the report.
