Norman Lyle Obe Appointed Non-Executive
|
The Board of Pilkington plc is pleased to announce that Norman Lyle OBE has accepted its invitation to become a Non-Executive Director of the Company and will take up his appointment on 1st August 2005.
Norman recently retired as the Group Finance Director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited where he has worked since 1997. He is also currently a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong Limited. The Pilkington Board believes it will benefit from his wide experience in finance and knowledge of emerging markets. Mr. Lyle will be based mainly in Hong Kong.
William Harrison will retire as a Non-Executive Director at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 28th July 2005. Mr Harrison has been a Non-Executive director since September 1998 and the Board has benefited greatly from his wide experience in investment banking.
