Saint-Gobain to invest 25 mln eur in Romanian fibre glass wool plant

Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA said it plans to invest 25 mln eur to build a fibre glass wool production line in Romania, after the company announced the acquisition of local rock wool producer DBW srl.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The purchase was made through Saint-Gobain Isover Austria. DBW last reported annual sales of 5.6 mln eur and has about 100 employees.
The new fibre glass wool production line will have an annual capacity of about 20,000 tonnes, and will create 100 new jobs, Saint-Gobain said.
