Asahi India Glass board recommends dividend & bonus issue

Asahi India Glass Ltd`s board has recommended a dividend at Rs 1.50 per equity share that is 150 per cent on 7.99 crore equity shares of Rupee one each for the financial year 2004-05. Taking in consideration the interim dividend of Rupee one per share earlier declared the total dividend to equity shareholders for the financial year comes to Rs 2.50 per share.
The board has also recommended a dividend at 0.01 per cent on 6 lakh non-cumulative preference shares of Rs 100 each for the financial year 2004-05.
The board has proposed bonus issue of 7.99 crore equity shares of Reupe one each as fully paid up to the equity shareholders in the proportion of one equity share for every equity share held by them.
The board has appointed Jagdish Khattar as the additional director and re-appointed Arvind Singh as the whole time director for another term of 5 years with effect from June 28, 2005. The board designated Arvind Singh as the director and COO (auto),
The board has approved convening annual general meeting (AGM) of the members of the company on July 26, 2005.
Shares of Asahi India Glass were last traded on BSE at Rs 195.90, up 3.21 per cent.
