Emirates Glass optimistic of winning more orders at Airport Build and Supply exhibition

Emirates Glass, regional leaders in supplying high quality glass products with its premium brands and one of Dubai Investment Group's subsidiaries, is optimistic about winning more contracts when it is participating in the prestigious Airport Build and Supply Exhibition from May 23 to 25, 2005 which will be held at the Dubai Airport Expo.

Emirates Glass will be showcasing its diverse range of Emicool Classic, EmiCool Sun and EmiCool Super E2 Low-E glass products, which offer airport designers optimal solutions for their prime requirements without neglecting the value of aesthetic design. EmiCool product range is specifically developed by Emirates Glass to meet the municipal specifications and rigorous aesthetic demands of architects and designers.

"Throughout the entire Middle East and indeed the world, airport construction and expansion of related facilities are already contributing substantially to the tremendous growth prospects for us. Airport buildings rely on massive glazed facades to provide light, solar control, thermal insulation and of course a clearer view of the outside world with its unique coatings providing very low indoor reflection giving the appearance of clear or tinted glass from inside. Emirates Glass has the necessary expertise and technical know-how to take up and complete the projects on schedule," said Jerry Dowling, General Manager, Emirates Glass.

The Airport Build and Supply Exhibition, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Emirates Group, provides participating companies a unique platform to meet with high-level regional and international decision-makers in the industry and offers an opportunity to world class companies to showcase their products, services and technologies.

Last year, more than 130 exhibitors representing almost 30 countries, including Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Finland, Lebanon and the UAE participated with a vast number of products and services vital to airports.

Emirates Glass products is actually winning regional and international recognition. The company is now supplying its premium brand glass products to a wide range of clients worldwide and hopes to make use of the opportunity arising from airport expansion projects in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. The value of these regional projects is estimated to touch more than US$10 billion over the next five years.

EmiCool Classic, EmiCool Plus, EmiCool Sun and Emicool Super E2 are high performance coated glass products from Emirates Glass that are used widely throughout the region and beyond. The EmiCool Comfort System is a large range of custom-designed solar and thermal control glass providing generous levels of daylight whilst giving superior control of heat gain or heat loss according to climate.

During the November 2004 Big 5 exhibition, the region's premier construction and contracting show, Emirates Glass announced the largest glass supply deal, according to which it will supply over 100,000 square meters of its revolutionary EmiCool Sun products to the massive construction of 40 towers at the celebrated Jumeirah Beach Residence development in Dubai.

Emirates Glass invested over AED16 million in October last year in a state-of-the-art equipment, which is recognized as the largest tempering furnace in the world. This has already tripled production capacity at the company's glass manufacturing plant in Dubai.
