XsunX Expands Development to Include Polyester Thin-Films

XsunX, Inc. (OTCBB:XSNX), developer of Power Glass(tm) -- an innovative solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun, announced today that the recent success in the reduction of processing temperatures will allow the Company to expand development efforts onto a broader range of more cost efficient thin films.

The Company next hopes to establish a viable processing method for the use of transparent polyesters such as Polyethylene Terphtalate, or PET, and Polyethylenenapthalate, or PEN. These are among the least expensive substrate solutions for Power Glass(tm) applications.

The use of polyesters is very prevalent in the thin films industry for the manufacture of non-energy producing films that control solar heat and UV rays in windows world wide. The Company intends to integrate the use of these types of polyester films into the scalable aspects of its patented reel-to-reel manufacturing process to produce rolls of transparent solar cells. XsunX believes that this may position Power Glass(tm) as a competitive power producing alternative to non-energy producing thin films for applications in the worldwide architectural glass and optical film markets.

"This has become a very exciting period in our development plan. The solar electric market is experiencing unprecedented growth rates, we have entered into a beta application testing relationship, and we are in discussions for beta tests in several additional market niches," stated Mr. Djokovich, CEO of XsunX. "Fortunately, we have aligned the Company with a brilliant and capable group of thin film veterans who have continuously helped us to realize results. Moving our development into this next group of materials is something that they have been looking forward to," concluded Mr. Djokovich.
