B-MEC Of LATVIA Acquires DFI License To Distribute Diamon-Fusion® Nanocoating In Baltic States (EU)

Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI), global developer and exclusive supplier of the Diamon-Fusion® patented nanotechnology, reached a license agreement with Baltijas Mobilas Elektronikas Centrs Ltd. (B-MEC) to distribute DFI’s nanocoating in LATVIA (Europe), the fastest-growing economy of the Baltic States. The agreement provides B-MEC the ability to distribute DFI’s nanotechnology in diverse glass markets throughout The Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania).
B-MEC, a 10-year privately owned company founded in Riga (Latvian capital city and business center of the Baltic States) is well positioned in Latvia as a supplier of specialty products within the Glass industry, with a core focus in diverse transportation-related markets. LATVIA, a new member of the European Union (EU) as of May 2004 with a USD 23-billion economy, has been posting the highest economic growth rates among the three Baltic States. Latvia’s major trading partners include: UK, Sweden, Germany, U.S., Lithuania, Russia, Estonia, Denmark, Finland and Italy.

Genadijs Pelniks, Managing Director of B-MEC, reported: “The addition of DFI hydrophobic nanocoating will enhance our line of products and services and will provide a great degree of innovation in our marketplace, especially in the transportation industry where we see a wide range of applications”.

DFI’s nanocoating supplies a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to the treated glass surface along with an anti-microbial property by inhibiting or decreasing the growth of mold and bacteria on the treated surface, providing a healthier environment to live in.
Guillermo Seta, DFI’s Vice President and Executive Director of DFI Global Operations, stated: “The Baltic States provide an interesting new market (for DFI) within the EU, and B-MEC’s central location, in Riga, will facilitate a more dynamic distribution flow within the region”.

DFI nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides a cross-linked, branched, and ‘capped’ coating along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
