PPG plans to expand

One of Wichita County`s largest companies just announced it`s getting bigger. Officials say that only means good things for surrounding communities. Glass maker PPG Industries will be expanding. But the Wichita County plant had to compete with other PPG locations in and outside of the US. But the plant manager says this facility secured the deal, partly because of a strong work staff. She also says officials from Wichita County, Wichita Falls and Burkburnett all played a hand, by offering PPG more than three million dollars in incentives. PPG says the 40 million dollar expansion will create about 50 jobs. The board of commerce and industry says it will add about three million dollars annually to surrounding economies.
