Emirates Insolaire sees strong growth potential in energy-efficiency on skyscrapers

Emirates Insolaire LLC, a pioneer in the development of new solar technologies and a joint venture of Dubai Investments PJSC and SwissINSO Holding Inc., is expecting sales of 50,000 square metres of solar glass during 2016 amidst rising demand for sustainable, energy-efficient solar technology across the globe.

The company, which offers the world's-first and energy-efficient KromatixTM coloured solar panels technology, is also targeting sales of 10,000 pieces of photovoltaic modules before the end of 2016, in the wake of increased enquiries and surging demand from the GCC, as well as Europe, Asia, the US and Brazil, among others.

The company is presenting its unique technology, highlighting adaptability of its sustainable technology as also the growth potential of its KromatixTM coloured solar panels - the first-of-its-kind in the world - at the 3rd Annual Smart Skyscrapers Summit 2016 at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa on May 16 and 17, 2016. Over 400 participants and 30 exhibitors are participating in the Summit.

Rafic Hanbali, Managing Partner of Emirates Insolaire, said: "There is a strong latent demand for building integrated photovoltaic solar glass, which is one of the specialities of Emirates Insolaire. The Company sees immense growth potential in skyscrapers and participation in the Smart Skyscrapers Summit could open up new frontiers. The time is not far off for Emirates Insolaire's solar panels to cover skyscrapers and buildings with a beautiful dress, which is both aesthetically appealing and sustainable."

He added: "It is in fact a building material which is far more beautiful than the traditional one, as easy and straight to install, produces the energy instead of absorbing it, and has the same cost range which results in a very rapid return on investment."

The coloured solar panels from Emirates Insolaire offer high efficiency, with each PV module capable of generating 170 to 190 watts per square meter for roof or 110 to 130 watts per square meter for facades. Emirates Insolaire's coloured solar panels and photovoltaic modules enhance the design of any building and can be easily integrated to any façade or roof.

With a special focus under the themes of project design, green building, facade design and engineering, the Smart Skyscrapers Summit 2016 aims to discuss challenges, trends and developments in ultra-high rise building design across the Middle East region.
