Date: 3 August 2015

Quanex Building Products’ Super Spacer® TriSeal™ is gaining momentum and recognition in Korea, one of the most advanced insulating glass unit (IGU) markets in Asia.

The flexible silicone spacer system is being used on high-profile commercial projects, most notably the 65,000-square-meter Land and Housing Corporation headquarters in Jinju.“Super Spacer TriSeal has brought unprecedented performance to the commercial Korean market,” said Mr.KS Chang, former plant manager of the glass processor Samwoo. “Through the use of fully automated IGU lines, this product meets the aggressive gas retention and U-factor requirements for large-scale projects, both for new builds and renovations, and offers fabricators high productivity and operational efficiencies. Building professionals trust the quality of the solution, especially paired with the backing and support of Quanex Building Products.”

The Land and Housing Corporate headquarters boast triple-glazed insulating glass, offering both building energy efficiencies and environmental health and comfort for its inhabitants. The building joins other high-profile projects, including the Gran Seoul Tower in Seoul, in the growing list of projects using Super Spacer TriSeal.

Korea has more than 20 automated IGU lines that are bringing significant production line efficiencies to factory floors and high-performing glass to its commercial and residential markets.
