Glaston closes a significant machinery deal to Poland

Date: 24 June 2015

Glaston Corporation has closed a deal for glass processing machinery valued at EUR 2.4 million with Press Glass SA, a leading European glass processor.

The order is booked in Glaston’s Q2 2015 order book.  The delivery will be made during the last quarter of 2015 to Press Glass’ plant in Tychy, Poland. The order is a follow-up to the deal made in 2014.

The deal includes a Glaston FC500™ tempering furnace for tempered flat glass processing, ProBend™ furnace for production of high quality cylindrical bent safety glass as well as a Glaston Care™ service agreement.

Maintaining the technological advantage is a key driver for Press Glass SA and the company constantly expands and updates its machinery park. On an European scale this order further strengthens Press Glass’ outstanding position as technology leader. The customer relationship with Glaston started already in 2003.

Founded in 1991, Press Glass has during the past years expanded its operations strongly and is currently operating in four locations in Poland and one in Croatia. Production amounts to 20,000 m2 of insulated glass units daily.  The company is one of the key players for processing high quality architectural glass for the European construction industry.
