With the 35th edition running from 17 - 20 November 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, The Big 5 in the UAE hosts more than 2,700 international exhibitors from nearly 60 countries, and welcomes more than 74,000 participants from 124 countries.

Launched in 1979,The Big 5 International Building and Construction Show is the Middle East’s largest construction exhibition.The Big 5 also recently expanded to deliver three dedicated shows in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and India. For more information visit www.thebig5.ae.

The Big 5 2014 is set to be the biggest ever show with more than 2,700 exhibitors, more conferences, seminars and special events all previewed in a special new magazine The Big 5 Show Preview, which you can view online.

This year sees the largest ever edition of The Big 5, which has grown over three decades to be the biggest construction and build show in the Middle East, Africa and East Asia. It is a focus for buyers from more than 120 nations.

It is celebrated in the show Preview Magazine published today, which is the only official news publication for the event, published by the Big 5 organiser dmg events.

It takes a look inside the show including the conference and workshop programme and all the special events over the four days.

With GCC countries  set to award $195.67 billion this year alone on construction projects – that is up almost $35bn compared with last year – there is only one focus for the industry in November, says Andy White, the Group Event Director.

In an exclusive interview, White explains that new attractions are set to make this year’s event not only the largest, but its most successful. (See page 4 of The Big 5 Preview)

It also takes a look at setting up business in the region with an inside look at the Jebel Ali Free Zone 
in Dubai. It offers a ‘unique proposition’ for business success, says its Senior VP of Sales Adil Al Zarooni.

He is due to speak at the How to Trade in the UAE seminar on Wednesday, November 19, at The Big 5. In an exclusive interview on page 34 of the Preview, Al Zarooni pledged that no business should fail in the UAE due to the operation of the freezone. Jafza opened in 1985 with 19 companies, today there are 7,300 according to the latest figures available and that number grows year on year.
