Glasstec 2014: Bohle Group has been at glasstec for 40 years

Date: 29 September 2014

The first trade fair for glass processors named "Glas" took place in Düsseldorf in 1970. Bohle has taken part as an exhibitor in every outing of the fair, now called glasstec, since 1974.

In the meantime the company has become one of the largest exhibitors in hall 9, which traditionally addresses the glass processing sector.

Forty years since that first outing, Bohle now presents itself as being clearly committed to the glass industry with an almost 900 sqm stand (Hall 9, Stand F40/C42). Glasstec 2014, as in everyday business life, will be focussed on the Bohle customer, his needs and wishes.

At the Bohle stand, more than 100 employees from 12 countries put our trade fair motto "Globally at your service“ into practice for customers from all over the world.

The customer at centre stage

"In recent years we have been working hard to improve our service and to address customer requirements in different market settings more efficiently by keeping an ear to the ground in each market. This year´s trade fair motto is meant to clearly emphasize that the customer is our focus of attention and that we listen and respond to him", says Dominik Hinzen, Vice President Marketing and Direct Sales in Germany, as he explains the idea behind trade fair motto and overall concept. A large communication area will be located in the centre of the stand, in the middle of the different Bohle product worlds, which is meant to bring customers and Bohle employees together and stimulate intensive exchange. "We take a trade fair like glasstec as an opportunity to discuss our ideas and plans with our customers and collect opinions about what we do and what we are planning to do," Hinzen points out.

Numerous product innovations and a new Hardware Catalogue

Bohle has much on offer again at glasstec 2014, with respect to products for everything concerning glass. New products can be discovered in nearly all product divisions.

A large part of the trade fair stand is again dedicated to glass hardware; the product portfolio is clearly structured in the Fittings for Bathrooms, Interior Fit-out, Furniture and Balustrades areas. The new Bohle EasyMount Vario balustrade system is the product highlight, standing out thanks to its comprehensive adjustment possibilities from the accessible side. In the sliding door division, Bohle rounds off its successful SlideTec optima system and launches an economy version to well-known competitive products with SlideTec optima 50. This economy version is also “Made in Germany”, a mark of quality that already exists for the SlideTec optima 60 and 150 systems.

Another novelty: a pneumatic floor spring as swinging door hinge which can completely do without a recess in the floor and can therefore be mounted much easier than standard floor springs.

The new Hardware Catalogue is presented hot off the press at glasstec, this time consisting of two parts, a Design and a Planning Manual. The Design Manual shows customers all systems in large illustrations and in typical application situations, whereas the Planning Manual contains pictures, diagrams and technical information. Both catalogues are linked to each other in an easy-to-use way through cross-references.

The machinery section is focussed on water treatment, sandblasting and material handling. Apart from the Bohle SBM 1500 sandblasting cabinet, all process water treatment systems are displayed as well. The new SEDI10 model with a 1000-litre capacity and a throughput of 150 litres per minute, excels due to its considerably smaller footprint compared to the predecessor model.

In the UV bonding division, Bohle launches a real innovation: Verifix TwinLED is a mobile, battery-driven LED lamp for curing UV adhesives, covering the wave lengths of 365 and 395 nm.

In the area of small electric appliances, Bohle presents the new cordless wet drilling machine Aqua Drill Power+. Being the successor model of Aqua Drill Plus, it delivers an even higher performance.

At glasstec Bohle also introduces a glass cleaner which can be provided with a customised label and in this way presents the perfect advertising medium for all glass processing and installing companies. This offer is particularly attractive due to the fact that Bohle offers the private label version already starting from 100 bottles. This way, smaller companies also have the opportunity to impress their customers and practise customer retention with just a small investment.

"Of course, there are many more product innovations to be expected", rejoices Dominik Hinzen and adds: "Many of the novelties will only be unveiled at glasstec – so there is a lot to look forward to!“
