YKK AP America to Host Special Event at New Texas Facility

Architects invited to tour the company’s state-of-the-art location - YKK AP America is hosting a special event later this month at its newest manufacturing facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area.  The event will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CDT, and will provide the community an inside glimpse of the facility located in Coppell.

The event will kickoff at 10 a.m. with an hour-long CEU course on school security for architects. From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. YKK AP will open its doors for facility tours. During the event visitors can enter giveaways, participate in demonstrations and play games. Guests will also have the opportunity to speak with representatives from Building Envelope Software Technologies, J.B. Hunt trucking, the YKK AP sales team dedicated to the region, as well as company executives.

“The Texas facility is a key part of our operations and we look forward to giving the architectural and contractor community a behind the scenes look,” said Oliver Stepe, senior vice president, YKK AP America. “Our latest facility is an exciting part of a national expansion plan for YKK AP. The event will allow the community to meet with YKK AP representatives and learn more about our facility, while participating in a variety of fun and educational activities.”

Opened in July 2014, the 105,000 square foot Texas location serves as a key U.S. distribution center. The facility, which is dedicated to production, distribution and logistics, allows the company to increase its local production capability and allows for more finished good inventory.
